For the 2023 Genesis Signature Holiday Event Campaign, the brand chose to shoot most of their holiday spot on a volume stage. A number of amazing shots were captured, all truly embracing the their brand slogan - ‘Luxe is in the Details.’ However, the star of their holiday spot, the end hero shot, brought a number of challenges that could not be achieved in-camera. The ceiling height within the volume stage was too low to allow the camera to boom as high as needed. So Genesis turned to our talented team at Hero Next Door to bring their vision to life. Our team started by creating a virtual replica of the volume stage and mylar floor, while simultaneously preparing the Digital Twins for all 8x Genesis Vehicles featured in their live-action production. While everything was being built, our creative artists  immediately began working with the live-action director and Genesis creative teams to work on lensing and camera movement solutions.  We providing a number of dynamic options, focusing on the build-up of the final reveal. In the end, we delivered a 5-second animation featuring a dynamic camera movement to a slow boom upward to allow the Genesis Model Line-up to form the elegant design of a Christmas Tree with their beaming LED headlights.
